Finished last 16 in straight pool. Had a close match to qualify for the last 8, but lost 75-69 to Sabina Dederding from Switzerland. Was an exiting match. We were close in the beginning, but then she ran more that 3 racks to take a big lead. I made a 30+ with was really cool at that moment and with one more cleared rack I tied the match 69-69. Got to far for my breakball though and couldn't make it, so we had a safety battly which she won. Was a tough loss to be honest  , but still a good result when I think about that straight pool used to be my weakest game.
Had 1 hour after the loss and then it was time for 8-ball. Had a hard time coping with the loss in straight pool, but of course, I knew that I had to try and forget it and get ready for 8-ball. I couldn't see the patters but still won 6-4 after being down. Was against Simone Meinhold from Germany. Had to play another German right away, but lost that one 6-5  . I was feeling really sick, had pain in my throught and cheast... I felt a flu coming for a couple of days already and now it was really breaking through! Was down 5-2 when we got the shot-clock... was the best thing that could happen though, cause I really needed something to change. I played better and made it 5-5. My break, running out but had a difficult position-shot for the 8-ball. Had to play my last ball 3 rails around and came to short. Had to cut the 8-ball and missed it. Really tough angle and not enough time due to the shotclock, so I missed...
Yesterday, I had no matches but was still sick so was probably for the best. This morning I had my next 8-ball match. This time on the loosers side and against Martine Christiansen from Norway. Lost 6-5. Was up, then down 5-4, made it 5-5 and running out again... played my last ball before the 8 a little to soft and had to shoot the 8 in the side, but with an angle that could have been better. Missed the ball just a hair to thin. Got 2 kick-shots on the 8 after that, but no chance to win anymore. Was really tough... felt I had 3 very close looses, were I "could have, should have, would have" won   ...
Anyway, 9-ball tomorrow. I play my first match at 18.00 against a girl from Turkey. Feel like playing!
